WMP Showcase Event

Thursday marked our Second Annual #WestsideMediaProjectSchool Showcase! The showcase was an opportunity for students, staff and administrators to see the digital media projects we’ve been working on. Some of the topics our students vlogged about:– Letters to Self – If I Could Go Anywhere in the World– Obstacles in my Community Check out these candid shots.

High School & Career Interests

Students, eighth and some seventh graders, discussed high schools they were interested in or already accepted into. Additionally, they expressed what career fields they wanted to take up.

“Letters to Lightfoot”

This week students were tasked with sending a message to the mayor. Send a message to mayor Lori Lightfoot saying: 3 good things about their community or 3 things that their community needs, and why. Videos coming soon!

“Westside is..”

Westside Media Project joins Leland STEM school to bring digital media programming to more than 20 students. It is day one, check out some of these candid shots. Students were asked to describe their community in one word.
